Our children are special
“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Truly I tell you whatever you did for these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.”
Takalani Children’s Home (TCH) aims to assist abandoned, orphaned and abused children. The name Takalani is a Tshivenda name meaning "be happy"
Takalani children’s home was established in May 1988 by Rev P. L. Van Langeveld together with the Reformed Church Synod Soutpansberg. The home started with only 11 children in total.
TCH has the capacity to accommodate a maximum of 70 children. Currently, the home has 35 boys and 34 girls.
